K-12 was spent at Monroeville, OH Schools where I excelled at math, physics, art and writing. I participated in Cross Country, Track, and Basketball. I worked on the family farm and for the family trucking business while going to school. I excelled in Cross Country and Track and found a love for physics and mathematics. During my junior year our schools got Commodore 64 computers and became very proficient in BASIC programming for DOS applications. I graduated in 1986.

I attended Terra Technical College which later became Terra State Community College where I took Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing courses. I also took a host of Math and English classes as well as some basic engineering (construction methods and materials) classes.

I attended Firelands College and took accounting and bookkeeping classes to better further my knowledge of how accounting software packages work and how ERP programs work in capturing and using shop floor control data. I also took organizational behavior classes and administrative workshops of how to deal with employees and workshops on team building.

I attended Rutgers University and received my Masters in economics and political science with an emphasis on currency policy and banking systems. I also excelled in speechwriting and in debate.
